2003-07-15 - 7:39 a.m. I stayed up way too late playing X-Box Live. I met a cool kid named Wade who taught me the ropes of the car game I was playing. I totally own it now. lol So this morning I wake up and am leaving for work when I see something I've only seen twice before on my street, a sheriff's patrol car. Once I had to call them because of someone harrassing me, and the other time I saw one on my street was when these kids drove a brand new car thru my neighbor's living room. The sheriff is out there along with a bunch of my neighbors and by the looks on their faces I can tell it isn't good. On Friday someone shot out all my neighbor's car windows and last night they came back and stole stereos, cellphones, and more out of a few of the cars on the street. Big deal, right? If you knew my neighborhood, this is a HUGE deal. My neighborhood is so close, we're like family, and we're always on watch for people who don't belong on the street. The sheriff laughed because my neighbor across the street left her garage door open all night. THAT is how secure we feel. But not any more. I'm sick to my stomach over it now. Those bastards took our comfort level and jacked it all up. Mr. Sheriff will be patrolling our street like crazy now, he said. He was nice and listened to us bitch about how we don't want this to happen again and he smiled as we told him that we're family, and we don't want any of our other family members to be victims. I'm thankful that they didn't mess w/ my CR-V even tho they did mess with the car in front and in back of it. I guess they didn't want to steal my dashboard chihuahua. Fools.
